introducing woodford education

As Director of Woodford Education, I am proud to lead with a clear belief: the foundations laid in childhood shape not only academic success, but character, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

With over twenty years’ experience in education, I have dedicated my career to building environments where children thrive. I care deeply about the habits, attitudes, and enjoyment of learning that are formed from a young age. When children develop resilience, curiosity, self-discipline and confidence early on, they carry these qualities with them for life.

I am passionate about creating a culture of excellence rooted in integrity, hard work, and genuine care. I am committed to recruiting and developing outstanding educators who not only demonstrate exceptional expertise, but share my belief that every child deserves to feel capable, inspired, and valued. My vision is to provide experience that nurtures both excellence and joy, where children achieve outstanding results while genuinely enjoying the process of learning.

my journey

My own educational journey reflects both the values I champion and the breadth of my career. I began at St Joseph’s Convent Preparatory School (whose colours Woodford Education proudly adopts as a nod to the wonderful foundation it gave me) before attending Trinity Catholic High School in Woodford. Experiencing both preparatory and state education has given me a deep appreciation of the strengths within each sector.

I went on to study at the University of Nottingham, completing my Bachelor Arts and Postgraduate Certificate in Education. Subsequently, I worked in both the state and private sectors. I later achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) through University College London. Alongside various leadership roles and acting as an Independent Schools Inspector allows me to evaluate educational quality at the highest level.
