The Woodford Education Assessment combines nationally benchmarked academic evaluation with a detailed understanding of how your child learns. Through standardised measures, we assess cognitive ability, literacy and numeracy, verbal reasoning and non verbal reasoning to provide a clear picture of attainment against national expectations and selective school thresholds. Alongside this, we work directly with your child to explore their learning preferences, confidence, challenges and metacognitive awareness.

This integrated approach enables us to identify strengths and areas for growth. We benchmark readiness for 4+, 7+ or 11+, aligning current performance with future potential, we offer realistic school guidance and a carefully considered shortlist suited to both academic profile and wellbeing. A consultation with parents forms an integral part of the Woodford Education assessment process.

Following the assessment, we meet with families to discuss their child’s academic profile and future educational pathway. During this conversation, we work in partnership with parents to consider where a child currently sits academically, alongside the aspirations and ambitions each family holds for their education.

Drawing on the insights gathered through our in-depth assessment, our tutors provide a clear overview of strengths, areas for development and recommended next steps, offering thoughtful guidance on preparation and school selection.
