The Woodford Education Assessment brings together standardised academic evaluation with a deeper understanding of how your child experiences learning.
This combined approach allows us to:
Identify strengths, developed ability, and areas for growth
Benchmark attainment against potential school entry requirements
Highlight any learning difficulties where appropriate
Understand how your child feels about their learning and what supports them best
At the heart of this process is a simple but important principle: before planning the next step, we must clearly understand where your child is now. Every child is on their own learning journey and developing at their own pace.
As such out assessment process offers more than a snapshot of attainment; it provides an in depth understanding of your child as a learner to help you plan next steps with clarity and confidence.
Using nationally benchmarked measures, we assess your child’s developed ability including cognitive skills and learning potential, alongside their current levels of literacy and numeracy. This provides a clear, measurable picture of attainment and allows us to compare performance against national expectations and specific school entrance thresholds.
Alongside this formal assessment, we spend time working directly with your child through guided discussion and practical activities. We explore how they understand their own learning; what helps them focus, how they prefer to approach tasks, what they find challenging, and what gives them confidence. By incorporating your child’s voice, we gain valuable insight into both their academic profile and their personal learning style.
